The Deming Gem & Mineral Society, Inc., an incorporated, non-profit organization shall be dedicated to the knowledge, advancement and enjoyment of the earth sciences and associated subjects. The Society’s primary purpose is the dissemination and furtherance of knowledge of mineralogy, gem cutting and geology, and to stimulate interest in the development of these studies. It is composed of individuals who have chosen gems and the aforementioned studies as a major interest in their lives.

The General Meeting is held at 2pm on the 4th Thursday of every month at 4300 Raymond Reed Blvd. in Deming (next to the Southwest New Mexico State Fairgrounds). An educational program is held each month and the public is invited to attend.

The May 2008 issue of 'Rock Chips' is now online!

If you are supposed to be getting your 'Rock Chips' newsletter by email and you aren't, check your SPAM filter first. A lot of email programs will discard it because there are so many people on the list. All you have to do is mark it as 'not Spam'. If it's not there, email me and let me know. I do have several email addresses that are bouncing.

New! Computer Tips for club members! You can also email me with suggestions for this. I know a lot of you aren't as familiar with computers as you'd like to be and maybe I can help out a little.
